Review: BOB's Ironman Jogging Stroller is the only in it's class to be officially licensed by the Ironman Triathlon. In order to meet their standards the BOB Ironman stroller combines a strong yet light weight frame, stiff shocks, state of the art suspension and slick 16'' road wheels. If you're serious about running and fitness this is the stroller for you.

The frame is made of welded aircraft grade aluminum alloy for added strength and durability at a low weight. In fact the entire stroller weights in at amazing 22lbs yet can carry a child up to 70lbs!

The suspension on this jogging stroller is what really makes it great. A stiff 3 inch suspension utilizes shock absorbers comprised of coil springs with an elastomer core. In addition, the suspension is two-way adjustable to accommodate bigger or smaller children.

The front wheel is fixed, which minimizes maneuverability but makes for better running. The rear 16' wheels are low profile and high pressure; perfect for sidewalks and trails.

Like most jogging strollers, the handle is high and out of the way of knees to keep you from bumping the stroller and disturbing your baby's ride. There is a one hand adjustable tracking knob which allows for better steering while running. A caliper handbrake slows the stroller and there is a foot engageable parking break for added safety and convenience.

This stroller isn't just made to help you run easier; it's comfortable for baby too. The stain resistant ultra padded seat reclines 70 degrees and comes with a 5 point harness for optimal safety and comfort. The large canopy protects your little tri -athlete-to-be from the elements and has a see through window so you can keep an eye on them.

While the Ironman has no where near the storage capacity of a full size stroller, it has a lot of space available for a jogging stroller. There is an under-seat compartment, two interior seat pockets and deep seat back pocket, making it possible to do a quick run to the store to pick something up.

While most jogging strollers are a pain to transport, the Ironman folds pretty easily in two steps. While the front wheel is on it will take up a fair amount of trunk space, so we recommend removing it if time permits.

The BOB Ironman MSRP is $349.99 and due to it's popularity it's hard to find on sale. The best we found was at Amazon.com where it was going for as low as $343.10

The Ironman from BOB is a compact, well built jogging stroller sitting on incredible suspension. It's one of the most popular out there; to the point of being a pain to locate sometimes! If you're looking for an all around great jogging stroller that will last you years, we highly recommend BOB's Ironman.
